Summer Softball
Both Allysa and Jake are in softball this summer. It seems there is always something to keep us busy. They both are doing great and are enjoying it. It is good to get some exercise and give us reasons to go hang out at the park. Allysa is on the same team as her cousin Charlie. It is fun to watch both of them play together. Luke has caught on that the park is within walking distance and chasing him back and forth has become my exercise!

Grandma Reva
Our sweet Grama Reva passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2008. She was my last living grandparent. We were fortunate enough to spend a couple of days with her a week before she passed. The kids all enjoyed having some one on one quality time with her and she was able to share something with them. Allysa was able to have grama talk to her for over 20 minutes and grama shared some great advice for Allysa. She told her she would always be watching over her. Grama said that "Although she kept thinking Luke was such a pretty little girl, she would remembered he was actually a boy." Maybe it is time to cut his hair? I don't think so. She told Jake to never let anyone tease him about his dimples...and if they did, she would come after them. My gram was one of the neatest ladies. She lived life more then anyone I know. Up into her 80's she was still trying to jetski, snowmobile, hike, hunt, and anything else she could get away with. I remember her wanting to hop onto the sling shot at Lagoon when she was 80...I told her NO WAY! Her funeral was amazing. The talks were all wonderful. My brother did such a great job sharing some fond memories we as a family had of our gram. Mr/Bro. Gemar of Shelley sang a Josh Groban song that brought tears to all of our eyes. Allysa and Hannah played a piano duet of "I Am A Child of God" and did such a wonderful job. And last Chelese, Allyson, and I sang "What is This Thing Called Death." As sorrowful as it is to have grama not with us anymore, I'm so proud, happy, and thankful of the full wonderful life she led. What an example she has been and will always be to all of us. She was always full of spunk and always had a smile on her face. She was not afraid to say what she needed to either. I am so thankful my kids had the opportunities they did to share and spend time with my grandma, their great grandmother.
